TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, February 6. As of January 1, 2025, the number of active enterprises with foreign investment in Uzbekistan reached 14,871.
According to the data obtained by Trend from Uzbekistan's Statistics Agency, the highest concentration is in Tashkent city, where 9,676 enterprises operate.
The Tashkent region follows with 1,773 enterprises, while the Samarkand region has 570. In Surkhandarya and Fergana regions, the numbers stand at 483 and 456, respectively. Bukhara and Andijan regions account for 315 and 308 enterprises. In Navoi and Namangan regions, there are 244 and 217 enterprises, while Jizzakh and Syrdarya regions report 201 and 200, respectively.
Karakalpakstan hosts 155 enterprises, and the Kashkadarya region has the lowest figure, with 140 foreign-invested enterprises.
