TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, February 21. In January 2025, Uzbekistan exported 94,100 tons of fruit and vegetable products.

The data obtained by Trend from Uzbekistan's Statistics Agency shows that compared to the same period in 2024, this figure decreased by 35.5 percent, or 51.900 tons.

The export volume of fruit and vegetable products in the period amounted to $81.7 million (an increase of 8.6 percent compared to the same period in 2024). This represents 6.2 percent of the total export volume.

The main markets for the export of fruit and vegetable products were Russia (23.7 percent), Pakistan (19.5 percent), Afghanistan (12.5 percent), and Kazakhstan (9.7 percent).

As of January 2025, the largest export volume in value terms of fruit and vegetable products was to Russia (23.7 percent of the total export volume), which exceeds the export volume from Kazakhstan by 2.4 times.

Meanwhile, Uzbekistan exported 2.03 million tons of fruits and vegetables worth $1.54 billion in 2024. This figure increased by 16 percent compared to the same period last year (1.75 million tons in 2023).
