People in the capital city of Tehran consumed 14.5 million liters of gasoline in three days since January 26.
The spokesperson of the National Iranian Oil Refining & Distribution Company, Ziba Esmaeili, has said that 14 provinces in the country burnt 34.5 million liters of gasoline in the mentioned period, ISNA news agency reported.
While the consumption of oil gas reached 25.5 million liters, 3.4 million liters of kerosene was consumed in the mentioned period.
The Provinces of Tehran, Alborz, Kordestan, Gilan, Orumiyeh, East Azerbaijan, Ardabil, Qazvin, Zanjan as well as Mazandaran and Golestan are among the provinces with the highest level of consumption in the mentioned period.
Heavy snowfall blanketed much of Iran over the weekend, closing hundreds of schools and many airports across the country with cars trapped on major highways.
