Taking into account the devaluation of Iran's national currency, there is a good opportunity to improve the tourism industry in the country, tourism expert Shahab Tollab said, the Iranian media reported.
Presently, European citizens can travel to Iran, stay 7-10 days and benefit from tourism services by spending just 15 percent of their monthly incomes.
According to Tollab, however, the number of tourists, especially European tourists, has dropped in the first five Iranian months (March-August).
For example, in the same period of last Iranian year, 31,000 German tourists visited Iran. This year the figure dropped by 21,000.
