Some 85,970 residential properties were sold in Turkey within mortgage lending from January through February 2020, which is 70,543 more compared to the same period of 2019, Trend reports referring to the country’s General Directorate of Land Registry and Cadaster.
In the reported period most of the real estate was sold in Istanbul.
According to the general directorate, 15,896 real estate properties were sold via mortgage lending in Istanbul in January through February 2020, which is 12,957 properties more than in the same period of 2019.
In Ankara, 11,157 properties were sold via mortgage lending from January through February 2020, which is 9,494 properties more compared to the same period last year.
Over 118,753 real estate properties were sold in Turkey in February 2020, which is 51.4 percent more compared to the same month of 2019.
