BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 18. Azerbaijan produced 938,000 tons of gas oils (diesel fuel) from January through May 2025.
Data obtained by Trend from the State Statistical Committee indicates that this figure is 42,600 tons, or 4.3 percent, less compared to the same period in 2024 (981,000 tons).
Moreover, the reserve of finished diesel fuel products stood at 159,000 tons as of June 1, 2025.
In addition to the drop in gasoline output, Azerbaijan’s overall production value in the oil products sector totaled over 2 billion manat ($1.1 billion) during the reporting period — a 5.2 percent decrease compared to the same timeframe last year.
