BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 21. Azerbaijan brought in meat valued at a whopping $41.1 million from January through May 2025.
The data obtained by Trend from the State Customs Committee shows that this
metric experienced a contraction of $7.3 million, translating to a
year-on-year decline of 15.1 percent.
Throughout the designated reporting interval, the importation of
meat constituted a mere 0.41 percent of the aggregate import volume
for Azerbaijan.
In the interim, during the initial quintet of months of the current
fiscal year, Azerbaijan's meat exportation reached a valuation of
$519,000, reflecting an uptick of $29,600, or 6.1 percent, relative
to the corresponding timeframe in 2024. Concurrently, the nation
generated a total of 233,600 tons of meat (live weight), signifying
an increment of 2,800 tons, or 1.2 percent, in comparison to the
same period in 2024.
