In January 2019, Renault cars were the best selling in Turkey, Trend reports referring to the Automotive Distributors Association of Turkey.
In January, 2,045 Renault cars were sold in Turkey.
"In January 2019, 2,000 Fiat cars, 1,600 Ford cars, 1,500 Volkswagen cars, 1,100 Hyundai cars and 311 Toyota cars were sold in Turkey," the Association said.
In January 2019, the car market in Turkey shrank 59 percent, compared to the same month of 2018, with 14,300 vehicles.
Five electric and 131 hybrid vehicles were sold in Turkey in January 2019.
Turkey ranks sixth in Europe in car production. Models of Ford, FIAT, Renault, Toyota, Honda, Opel, Hyundai, Mercedes-Benz and MAN are currently assembled in Turkey.
