The national airline Uzbekistan Airways is to introduce a 50-percent discounts on all domestic flights from March 21 to 24, Trend reports with reference to the company's message.
“All passengers will be given holiday discounts on domestic flights for Novruz holiday from March 21 to March 24, 2019. Everyone can purchase tickets at discounts at the central office of ticket sales at Uzbekistan Airways and at the Uzbekistan airport ticket offices,” the airline said.
Holiday discounts are available:
İndividual passengers - 30 percent;
Tourist groups (from five people), schoolchildren, students of colleges, lyceums and universities, students and trainees of special educational institutions of the system of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Ministry of Defense, State Security Service, State Tax Committee, State Customs Committee and other departments - 40 percent;
For families (from two people — husband and wife; husband, wife, and their children under 18; father or mother with children under 18) —50 percent;
To pensioners and people with disabilities - 50 percent;
To participants of WWII, and those equated to them, as well as for persons awarded orders and medals during the Second World War - 50 percent;
To participants in liquidation of the aftermath of the disaster at Chernobyl nuclear power plant - 50 percent.
Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a decree on November 12 “On the establishment of additional non-working days during the celebration of official dates and the transfer of weekends to 2019”.
The document states that, during Novruz holidays, Uzbeks will have a rest for four days in a row: March 21 is a holiday non-working day, March 22 is an additional non-working day, March 23 and 24 are days off on the calendar.
