BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 9. Another company has been given the green light to settle down in the Aghdam Industrial Park - Xtra Plast LLC in Azerbaijan, Trend reports.
According to the nation's Economic Zones Development Agency (IZIA), the company will launch the production of plastic containers.
The volume of investment in the project will be 3.8 million manat ($2.2 million), opening 20 new jobs.
The manufactured products will be sold on the domestic market, which will be a significant contribution to the development of the local economy and meet the needs of domestic consumers for high-quality packaging.
To note, during the press conference dedicated to the results of activity for 2023, Seymur Adigozalov, Chairman of the Board of the Agency, said that more than five enterprises are planned to start working in Aghdam Industrial Park this year (production of wallpaper, footwear, roofing, pipe, and box profiles, ventilation, fire-fighting equipment, and various metal products, etc.).
The Economic Zones Development Agency was established as a state legal entity based on “Sumgayit Chemical Industrial Park” LLC by the decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan “On Measures to Improve Management of Industrial Parks, Industrial Districts, and Agro-Parks” No. 1257 dated January 22, 2021.
