TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, March 22. Starting in 2026, electricity and natural gas tariffs in Uzbekistan will be set for a minimum of three years, Trend reports.

The relevant regulations will come into effect on April 1, 2025.

This is outlined in the government resolution "On additional measures to further improve tariff policy in the fuel and energy sector."

The document also provides for the phased introduction of a unified pricing policy for electricity and natural gas across all regions of the country by 2035.

State support for low-income and vulnerable populations will be provided through the application of basic tariffs, as well as compensation in case of tariff increases.

It is worth noting that new principles for tariff policy in the fuel and energy sector were announced last June. Before this, electricity and gas prices were reviewed up to twice a year.
