BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 17. The Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) export pipeline carried more than 11.6 million tons of oil between January and May of 2025.
Data obtained by Trend from the State Statistics Committee indicates
that this denotes a contraction of 340,300 tons, equating to a 2.8
percent dip, relative to the corresponding timeframe of the
previous year, during which 11.9 million tons were conveyed through
the BTC pipeline.
In this timeframe, a substantial 83.4 percent of the hydrocarbons
conveyed via the BTC pipeline were sourced from Azerbaijan's
extraction activities, whereas the residual 16.6 percent, equating
to 1.9 million tons, was derived from petroleum supplied by
Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan.
