ASTANA, Kazakhstan, June 2. The 100,000th container (in TEU equivalent) has been dispatched from Xi’an as part of a container train along the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route (TITR), Trend reports.
The dataset indicates that the train comprises 50 intermodal
containers transporting a diverse array of electronics, furniture,
consumer goods, and ancillary products.
This pivotal consignment is the culmination of synergistic
endeavors by Kazakhstan Railways, China Railways, and the Xi’an
Port Group (PRC).
"Since it began operations in February 2024, the Kazakhstan-China terminal in Xi’an has handled over 200,000 tons of cargo and has become an important logistics hub in international trade," the statement said.
The issuance of the 100,000th container from this terminal substantiates its elevated demand and impact on transit along the TITR, alongside the efficacy of synergistic collaboration between logistics stakeholders from the two nations.
