ASTANA, Kazakhstan, October 10. The economic growth rate of Kazakhstan was 4.7 percent from January through August 2023, said Minister of National Economy Alibek Kuantyrov at a government meeting, Trend reports.
As he noted, positive dynamics in the real sector amounted to 3.7 percent, in the service sector – 5.1 percent.
"Among the industries, the greatest growth is demonstrated by construction - by 12.6 percent, trade - 10 percent, and information and communications - 8.4 percent," he added.
The meeting also reviewed the results of the socio-economic development of Kazakhstan and the execution of the republican budget from January through September of the current year.
Based on the results from January through August, the economic growth rate was 4.9 percent. Growth in the real sector was 4.4 percent, and in the services sector – 4.8 percent.
In 2022, the real growth of Kazakh economy was 3.2 percent. The country attracted $28 billion of foreign direct investment, achieving 18 percent growth.
The real volume of investment in fixed capital increased by 8 percent. Foreign trade turnover increased by 32 percent and amounted to $134 billion.
