TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, March 18. The trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan hit the ground running, reaching over $64.9 million from January through February 2025.
Data obtained by Trend from the State Customs Committee of Azerbaijan shows that this figure shows a jump of 182 percent compared to the previous year, when trade turnover was pegged at $23 million.
Furthermore, Uzbekistan imported products worth $5.4 million from Azerbaijan from January through February 2025. This figure reflects a 42.1 percent growth compared to the same period last year, when imports totaled $3.8 million.
Moreover, the country's exports to Azerbaijan amounted to $59.5 million, marking a 209 percent increase compared to $19.2 million in January-February 2024.
To note, Azerbaijan’s trade turnover with Uzbekistan amounted to over $252 million in 2024. This metric has escalated by 41 percent on an annualized basis, reflecting a total of $178.7 million in the fiscal year 2023.
