BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 27. Russian citizens bought 9,396 real estate properties in Türkiye from January through October 2023, which is 1,938 less year-on-year, Trend reports.
According to data from the Turkish General Directorate of Land Registry and Cadastre, Russian citizens purchased 103 properties in Türkiye in October 2023, 97 fewer than the previous year.
In total, 93,761 flats were purchased in Türkiye during the reporting month, representing an 8.7 percent decrease year on year.
From January to October 2023, a total of 993,835 units were acquired in Türkiye.
"This is 14.3 percent lower year on year," according to the general directorate.
In October 2023, a total of 2,535 flats were sold to foreign nationals in Türkiye, a 52.9 percent decrease year on year.
From January to October of this year, foreign nationals purchased 30,599 apartments in Türkiye, a 44.4 percent decrease year on year.
Previously, in 2022, Russian citizens purchased 16,312 units of real estate property in Turkey, a 10,933 increase over 2021.
