BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 25. German citizens purchased 1,363 properties in Türkiye from January through December 2023, 1,342 less than the same period in 2022, Trend reports, referring to the General Directorate of the Land Registry and Cadastre of Türkiye.
According to the information, German citizens bought 67 properties in Türkiye last December, which is 145 properties less than in December 2022.
To note, 138,577 apartments were purchased in Türkiye in December 2023, which was 33.4 percent less than in December 2022.
The report indicated that 1,225,926 apartments were purchased in Türkiye from January through December 2023.
"These figures are 17.5 percent lower than the same period in 2022," the Authority indicated.
A total of 2,064 apartments were sold to foreign nationals in Türkiye in December 2023, down 67.7 percent compared to the same period in 2022.
Foreign citizens bought 35,000 apartments in Türkiye in 2023, a decrease of 48.1 percent compared to the same period in 2022.
