BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 28. Azerbaijan's Baku Metro carried more than 229.5 million passengers in 2024, with daily ridership averaging about 627,279, Trend reports.
"This figure marks a 4.6 percent increase compared to 2023," reads the entity's recent post on its official Facebook page.
The Baku Metro commenced operations on November 6, 1967, and has undergone extensive development over the years. It currently features 27 stations, two power depots, and three lines, spanning a total length of 40.7 kilometers.
