The collections of Azerbaijan’s Qala Sigorta insurance company in 2021 grew, the Azerbaijan Insurers Association told Trend.
According to the association, this figure amounted to 43.8 million manat ($25.7 million), up by 13.2 million manat ($7.7 million), or 43.1 percent, on annual basis.
At the same time, last year Qala Sigorta payments increased by almost two million manat ($1.18 million), or 47.7 percent, compared to 2020, standing at 5.6 million manat ($3.3 million).
The company’s share in the domestic insurance collections in 2021 equaled 5.65 percent, and the share of payments - 1.22 percent.
In 2021, the total collections of Azerbaijani insurance companies amounted to 843.8 million manat or $496.3 million (an increase of 15.8 percent over the year), and total payments - 458.7 million manat or $269.8 million (a decrease of 1.4 percent).
