BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 23. USAID (United States Agency for International Development) supports Azerbaijan in forming new strategies for the development of state structures, Michael Nehrbass, Mission Director for USAID in Azerbaijan, told Trend.
According to the director, almost all USAID projects implemented in the country are carried out within the framework of cooperation with the government, in particular, with the Ministries of Economy, Agriculture, as well as with State Tourism Agency, and Port of Baku.
"We help the state structures of Azerbaijan to form new development strategies, and attract leading specialists of a particular industry to the country, in particular to the training centers of ministries. For example, we have reached an agreement with AZPROMO [the Export and Investment Promotion Agency of Azerbaijan] on cooperation in increasing the export potential of the country's products, as well as promoting Made in Azerbaijan products at international exhibitions," he said.
In addition, Nehrbass emphasized that USAID will continue to strengthen cooperation with the country in all sectors of the economy.
