BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 16. Mobile identification reduces the use of paper, helping mitigate environmental damage, said Jana Krimpe, head and founder of B.EST Solutions, during the GSMA M360 Eurasia 2024 conference-hosted panel discussions on May 16, Trend reports.

"We, as the national mobile identification provider, collaborate with all three telecom operators in Azerbaijan. Producing just one sheet of paper requires about 10 liters of water. Recent data shows that about 80 percent of the world's forests have been destroyed.

Each year, five billion trees are cut down. These are staggering numbers. In Azerbaijan alone, through 300 million transactions, we have saved 200,000 15-year-old trees," she emphasized.

According to her, all citizens of Azerbaijan contribute to saving trees by striving to avoid paper operations in their daily lives.

To note, the GSMA M360 Eurasia 2024 international conference is taking place in Baku, spanning from May 15 through May 16. Azercell serves as the general sponsor of the conference, with support from the Ministry of Digital Development and Transportation of Azerbaijan. This event gathers leading experts, regulators, heads of mobile operators, IT corporations, high-ranking politicians, and other participants. Baku is hosting the M360 Eurasia conference for the second time.
