Kazakhstan's KazMunayGas to tweak fuel gas systems of Tengizchevroil LLP

ASTANA, Kazakhstan, October 4. KazMunayGas (KMG) is prioritizing work on modifying the fuel gas system for Tengizchevroil LLP (TCO) to maintain the schedule for the gas separation complex project, said Chairman of the Management Board of the company Askhat Khassenov during his visit to the Tengiz oil field, where progress on the Future Growth Project (FGP), Trend reports via KMG.

He convened a meeting with the company's management at TCO's shift camp to address current field development challenges, the potential for augmenting the proportion of domestic professionals within the workforce, and the expansion of Kazakhstani content in the procurement of goods and services.

He went on noting that, as part of a $400 million strategic tender, contracts were signed with five Kazakh enterprises for the supply of materials necessary for TCO's maintenance, repair, and operations.

Special care was taken to nurture Kazakh talent for the top brass at TCO, while also bolstering local content in the buying and selling of goods and services.

To note, Tengizchevroil is a joint venture comprising Chevron with a 50 percent share, ExxonMobil holding 25 percent, KazMunayGas with 20 percent, and LukArco owning the remaining five percent of the consortium.
