Kazakhstan outlines its role in China's land transportation route to Europe

ASTANA, Kazakhstan, November 5. Kazakhstan covers more than 80 percent of land transportation from China to Europe, Trend reports.

This topic was covered during the VII China International Import Expo - China International Import Expo, which was held in Shanghai. The Prime Minister of Kazakhstan, Olzhas Bektenov, personally participated in the opening ceremony of the event. Kazakhstan's participation in the exhibition creates new opportunities for expanding trade and economic relations with foreign partners and bringing national products to international markets.

Prime Ministers of various states took part in the opening ceremony of the international exhibition.

Olzhas Bektenov in his speech noted the importance of strengthening cooperation between states in the development of barrier-free trade, e-commerce, transportation, and logistics. It was also noted that such major infrastructure projects as the international transit road corridor “Western Europe - Western China," the logistics center in the port of Lianyungang, the cargo terminal in the dry port of Xi'an, and the third railway checkpoint on the border with China.

In the field of digitalization, Kazakhstan ranks 24th in the e-government development index, 10th in online services, and 6th in the government technology maturity index according to the World Bank's ranking.

After the event, Premier of the State Council of the People's Republic of China Li Qiang and heads of delegations of the participating countries of the international exhibition got acquainted with the products presented in the National Pavilion of Kazakhstan, “New Era, Common Future”, focused on the theme of digitalization.

The China International Import Expo (CIIE) is a trade fair held in autumn annually since 2018 in Shanghai, China. It is the world's first import-themed national-level expo. CIIE was personally proposed and announced by Xi Jinping, current General Secretary of the Chinese Communist Party.
