BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 4. Banks operating in Azerbaijan provided 4.2 billion manat ($2.5 billion) in business loans to commercial entities last year.
Data obtained by Trend from the Central Bank of Azerbaijan shows that this figure grew by 643 million manat ($380 million), or 17.8 percent, from 2023 (3.6 billion manat or $2.1 billion).
To note, in 2024, the total business loan portfolio of banks operating in Azerbaijan amounted to 14.8 billion manat ($8.7 billion). The business loan portfolio of banks increased by 17.2 percent, or 2.2 billion manat ($1.28 billion), compared to the previous year (12.6 billion manat or $7.5 billion).
