BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 19. A total of 91.3 percent of the total construction work in Baku was performed by private companies last year.
The data obtained by Trend from the Baku City Statistical Department show that 85.5 percent of the construction work performed by construction enterprises in the capital was construction, reconstruction, and expansion; 7.3 percent was major repairs; 3.3 percent was current repairs; and 3.9 percent was other construction work.
To note, last year, 82.7 percent of the construction work performed by construction companies (including individual entrepreneurs) in Azerbaijan was construction, reconstruction, and expansion; 8.3 percent was major repairs; 4.9 percent was current repairs; and 4.1 percent was other construction work. 89 percent of the total construction work was performed by private construction companies.
