BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 1. The currency reserves of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) stand at over $11 billion as of today.
Data obtained by Trend from the CBA indicates that this represents an increase of $36 million, or 0.3 percent, compared to April 1.
The CBA's currency reserves have grown by $103 million, or 0.9 percent, since the beginning of the year. However, over the past year, they have decreased by $598.3 million, or 5.1 percent.
As of today, Azerbaijan’s money supply amounts to 20.7 billion manat ($12.1 billion). This is a decrease of 778.8 million manat ($458.1 million), or 3.6 percent, compared to April 1.
Compared to the beginning of the year, the money supply has decreased by 197.2 million manat ($116 million), or 0.9 percent, but has grown by 723.4 million manat ($425.5 million), or 3.6 percent, over the past year.
