ASTANA, Kazakhstan, May 6. A cooperation agreement in the field of geological exploration between Kazakhstan’s KazMunayGas and Petrovietnam Exploration Production was signed today following talks between the President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, and the General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, To Lam, Trend reports.
Following the bilateral negotiations between the President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, and the General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, To Lam, joint statements were adopted.
At the conclusion of the talks, the members of the official delegations also exchanged the following documents:
A Memorandum of Cooperation in the field of technologies, innovation, and digital transformation between the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovations, and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Ministry of Science and Technology of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam;
A Memorandum of Cooperation in the field of culture between the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam for 2025-2027;
A Memorandum of Cooperation in the field of sports between the Ministry of Tourism and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam for 2025-2027;
A Cooperation Program in the field of justice for 2025-2027 between the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Ministry of Justice of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam;
A Memorandum on the establishment of twin-city relations between the Akimat of Kyzylorda region and the province of Hung Yen;
An Act confirming the completion of the transaction for the purchase and sale of shares of JSC Qazaq Air between JSC "Samruk-Kazyna" and Sovico Group;
An agreement on cooperation between the Television and Radio Complex of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Vietnam News Agency.
On May 5, General Secretary To Lam arrived in Kazakhstan’s capital, Astana, for a state visit. That day, a brief conversation between the leaders of Kazakhstan and Vietnam took place at the Astana airport. On May 7, the General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam is scheduled to attend a military parade in Astana dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory.
