BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 21. Azerbaijan exported 26.6 million kWh of electricity to Russia from January through March 2025.
The data obtained by Trend from the Azerbaijani State Statistical Committee
shows that the electricity export in this capacity yielded $1.06
million in revenue generation.
The export throughput contracted by 1.5 million kWh, reflecting a
5.3 percent decline, whereas the monetary valuation experienced an
uptick of $23,000, translating to a 2.2 percent increase relative
to the corresponding timeframe of the previous fiscal year.
During Q1 2024, Azerbaijan executed an export of 28.1 million kWh
of electrical energy, generating a revenue stream of $1.04 million
directed towards the Russian market.
It is pertinent to highlight that within the designated reporting
timeframe, Azerbaijan executed an exportation of 440.4 million kWh
of electrical energy, which was appraised at a monetary value of
$24.4 million, directed towards the markets of Russia, Georgia, and
Iran.
