ASTANA, Kazakhstan, May 22. Today, the Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE) announced the suspension of trading in the common shares of JSC "Kazakhtelecom" due to a 31.51 percent decrease in the company's share price, Trend reports.
"The price of the last executed transaction with KZTK (Kazakhtelecom), concluded on May 21, 2025, was 58,400.00 tenge per share (approximately $116.80). Trading in KZTK shares was suspended on May 22, 2025, after a transaction was completed at the price of 39,999.99 tenge per share (approximately $80.00)," KASE said in a statement.
The equity of the national corporation was cataloged in the
authoritative KASE registry within the "Premium" classification.
Nonetheless, pursuant to the exchange's regulatory framework,
should the equity valuation experience a decrement of 30 percent or
greater, trading activities are subject to automatic cessation.
It has been previously disseminated that KASE will implement a
trading suspension for various instruments on May 26 in observance
of a holiday in the United States.
