BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 27. Insurance companies in Azerbaijan collected 300.5 million manat ($176.7 million) in life insurance premiums from January through April 2025.
Data obtained by Trend from the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) indicates that this represents an increase of 30.7 million manat ($18 million), or 11.4 percent, compared to the same period last year.
In the specified timeframe, disbursements associated with life
insurance contracts amounted to 40.3 million manat ($18 million),
reflecting an increase of 18.7 million manat ($18 million) or 14.6
percent compared to the analogous timeframe of 2024.
The insurance premium, totaling 588.5 million manat ($346 million),
was accrued by insurance entities in Azerbaijan during the period
spanning January to April 2025.
The analytics indicate that this metric experienced an escalation
of 8.4 percent, translating to an increase of 45.7 million manat
($26.9 million), in juxtaposition to the corresponding timeframe in
2024.
The aggregate disbursements from insurance portfolios totaled 231.3
million manat ($136 million) in the corresponding timeframe,
indicating a 10.4 percent escalation relative to the previous
fiscal year.
