BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 2. Iran’s Markazi Province recorded product exports worth $519 million, totaling 718,000 tons in the first five months of the current Iranian year (from March 21 through August 22, 2025), Rouhollah Gholami, Director General of the provincial customs, told reporters, Trend reports.
In his statement, Gholami noted that goods were exported to 81 countries, with Pakistan, Afghanistan, Türkiye, Iraq, and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) as the main destinations.
During the same period, imports reached $352 million, totaling 114,000 tons from 39 countries, including the UAE, China, Türkiye, Germany, and Qatar.
To note, Markazi Province Customs recorded $1.2 billion in exports in the last Iranian year (from March 20, 2024, through March 20, 2025), reflecting a 12 percent increase compared with the previous year (from March 21, 2023, through March 19, 2024).
