Azerbaijani Bank Standard launches a platform for transactions in Forex market, the bank told Trend today.
"The system has been tested," the bank said. "It will be launched from April 1."
The bank intends to be active in this market.
Besides Bank Standard, Azerbaijani Royal Bank started creating the Forex platform. At present, the platform of the bank is not active. The technical work on its creation is underway. It is expected to take several months.
According to the decision of the Central Bank, the transactions have been conducted only through banking organizations in the Forex market - off-exchange international currency market in Azerbaijan since 2011.
Today, two banks - Texnikabank and MuganBank have this platform in Azerbaijan. A trading platform for operating in Forex market was launched in MuganBank on July 19, 2010. Texnikabank launched similar operations in 2011.
Since its establishment in 1995, Bank Standard has conducted its activity, primarily as a retail bank specializing in rendering services to physical entities.
