Kazakhstan and Russia are working on the creation of a joint grain transporting venture with participation of Kazakh and Russian grain transport car operators JSC 'Kaztemirtrans' and CJSC 'Rusagrotrans'.
To date, Kazakh 'Қaztemirtrans' has taken all the measures necessary for receiving a permit for the establishment of the joint venture, the Ministry of Agriculture of Kazakhstan reported.
According to the Ministry, 'Rusagrotrans' is currently conducting corporate procedures on the establishment of the joint venture.
The joint venture is planned to be created on a parity basis. It will acquire the necessary funds by providing an equal number of grain transporting wagons from both sides.
The permission of the Board of Directors of JSC 'Kaztemirtrans' about Rusagrotrans's participation in the joint venture has been received, the draft constituent documents (charter, articles of incorporation, shareholders agreement) have been developed. The documents have been agreed upon by both parties.
Previously, the CEO of 'Rusagrotrans' Konstantin Zasov, in an interview with the newspaper "Kommersant" said that the joint venture will allow the use of one grain transit park for the transportation of both Kazakh and Russian grain, as the agricultural seasons in Russia and Kazakhstan do not match.
