Aerial cableway will be built in Turkey’s Adiyaman province, the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure of Turkey told Trend Aug. 30.
The cableway is planned to be built on the Nemrut mountain, according to the ministry.
"The construction of the aerial cableway in Adiyaman will contribute to the growth of tourism in the province. The Mount Nemrut is one of the important tourism centers in Turkey," the ministry said.
The ministry did not specify the cost of the cableway's construction.
The longest aerial cableway in Turkey is located in the province of Antalya and its length is 4.3 kilometers.
The first aerial cableway in Turkey was built in 1963 in the province of Bursa.
