Azerbaijani rice producer – the Astara Rice enterprise will soon begin exporting its products to Russia, the Deputy Director of the enterprise Etibar Salimov told Trend.
The deputy director noted that the negotiations on the supply of Astara rice in the Russian direction are almost completed, and the products will be exported at the end of the harvest.
"The harvest of rice currently continues and it should be completed by the end of November. We are planning to start export deliveries before the end of this year. The first export routes in the Russian direction are already known. These are Novosibirsk and Surgut. In the future, we intend to expand export opportunities and promote our products to new sale markets in Russia and other neighboring countries," Salimov said.
The deputy director noted that Astara rice is an environmentally friendly product and meets modern quality standards.
