The number of registered cars in Kazakhstan amounted to 404,916 vehicles during first six months of 2019, which is 5.4 percent less than in the same period of last year, Trend reports with reference to Committee of Statistics of Kazakhstan.
Furthermore, as of July 1, 2019, the number of passenger cars registered in Kazakhstan amounted to 3.687 million cars.
According to the committee’s data, some 84 percent of registered cars operate on petrol, compared to 83.2 percent last month. Some 13.4 percent of the cars operate on mixed fuel and 2.5 percent on diesel fuel.
During the reporting period, the number of registered car accidents amounted to 6,743 cases, which is 4.9 percent more than during the same period of last year. Some 9,437 people were injured in these accidents.
As of June 1, 2019, insurance companies made 37,672 payments worth 14.5 billion tenge on Mandatory Vehicle Owner’s Third Party Liability Insurance.
