BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, January 7. The Kyrgyzstan’s State Breeding Plant has launched the production of safflower oil, with the resulting oilcake subsequently used as feed for livestock, Trend reports via the Kyrgyz Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture and Processing Industry.
The initiative is aimed at creating additional value added in the agricultural sector and ensuring more efficient use of by-products from crop processing. Production has been organized at a small processing facility, alongside the cultivation of safflower.
The safflower oil production project implemented by the Kyrgyz State Breeding Plant is being carried out with the support of the Sokuluk District State Development Fund.
In accordance with a government resolution about the allocation of resources from district state development funds to initiatives in the processing and agricultural sectors, the firm procured the requisite equipment.
