SOCAR AQS is drilling a well with design depth of 5,950 meters at Bulla Deniz field, the company told Trend.
“The well #117 is being drilled from the #6 platform. A 24-inch pipeline has been lowered to a depth of 1,226 meters and was cemented. Currently, drilling of another section is underway. The well has been drilled to a depth of 1,247 meters. It is planned to reach a drilling thread of 5,000 meters by the end of 2021,” said the company.
Moreover, SOCAR AQS is carrying out installation and reconstruction works for wells #7, #10 and #1 at Gunashli, West Absheron and Umid fields, respectively and to drill new wells.

SOCAR AQS has been assessed and certified as meeting the requirements of ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018 international standards for: Provision of Integrated Offshore Oil & Gas Drilling and Well Services; Casing Running Services and BOP and Wellhead Equipment Repairing and Testing Services.
In 2017, SOCAR AQS was certified as meeting the requirements of the API Spec Q2 Quality Management System Standard for the Provision of Integrated Offshore Oil & Gas Drilling & Well Services.
