BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 15. SOCAR Methanol LLC of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan produced 250,300 tons of methanol from January through June 2024, which is 16.6 percent more than the indicator for the same period in 2023, Trend reports.
According to the State Statistics Committee of Azerbaijan, as of July 1, there were 19,100 tons of methanol stored in the warehouses of SOCAR Methanol.
This enterprise has been part of SOCAR's balance sheet since 2014 and is the sole producer of methanol in the South Caucasus region.
At peak capacity, the plant can produce approximately 720,000 tons per year.
