A long-term project will start in Azerbaijan to study the deep structure of the Earth for minerals, Gurban Yetirmishli, director general of the Republican Seismic Survey Center of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS), told Trend.
The details of the project, to start in May, will be discussed in Baku with experts from the Columbia University and the University of California, Berkeley, according to him.
“The work will also be carried out in the territory of Georgia,” Yetirmishli said, adding it is also planned to conduct seismic tomography survey.
