SAIPA automaker company follows Iran's macro policies and instructions of the Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade in collaboration with foreign automakers, said SAIPA's deputy of sale and services department, Trend reports citing IRNA
Majid Bagheri has indicated that a possible plan to import vehicles would not challenge SAIPA and the automaker will adapt itself to any policy.
He noted that SAIPA aims to produce three new products in the current Iranian year (started March 21, 2021), despite all problems including sanctions, delayed deferred liabilities, and withdrawal of foreign partners such as Renault and Volvo.
Following the re-imposition of sanctions against Iran, foreign automakers have left their collaboration with Iranian automakers.
"If problems of sanctions are resolved the SAIPA is ready to activate and develop auto manufacturing sites in neighboring and regional countries to develop Iran's export," he explained.
SAIPA has good infrastructure in Iraq, Syria, and other countries these sites are currently inactive and affected by sanctions and problems in trade transactions.
The official indicated that SAIPA's studies show that the company's products are welcomed in Arabian countries due to low fuel consumption.
The Minister of Industries, Mine, and Trade suggested a plan is the production of 1.6 million vehicles in 2022 and increasing auto production to 3 million vehicles by 2025 that has been welcomed by SAIPA.
