ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, June 21. Specialists of Derýaýollary OJSC of Turkmenistan have completed the construction of the hull of the second dredger under the brand 'ÇIZ-O1M', Trend reports.
According to the official source, this is the second project of this kind implemented by the company's own forces after the successful launching of the first independently built LS-7 dredger ten years ago.
The new 'ÇIZ-O1M' dredger has a design capacity of 250 cubic meters of soil per hour, which significantly exceeds the capabilities of the previous model.
The development of the production of such machines will reduce dependence on imports and meet the needs of the country's water sector in cleaning and deepening the bottom of irrigation systems.
Meanwhile, in addition to the construction of dredgers, Derýaýollary's activities cover cargo transportation, the organization of pontoon crossings over the Amu Darya River, ship repair, and the provision of river sand to builders.
In particular, a new pontoon ferry was recently opened near the village of Pelvert, which significantly reduced the delivery time of goods and passengers.
