Net profit of Kcell company, a leading operator in Kazakh telecommunication market, decreased by 20 percent - up to 46.63 billion tenges ($1=371.51 tenges as of Jan. 29) in 2015, the company's report said Jan. 29.
"The net income was impacted negatively by the one-time write-off of obsolete assets in Dec. 2015 and positively by the exchange gains," said the report.
Net volume of the company's sale decreased by 10.2 percent and amounted to 168.42 billion tenges during the reporting period.
Profit from the company's services decreased by 13.8 percent and amounted to 157.29 billion tenges last year.
Revenue from voice services decreased by 20.6 percent - up to 105.35 billion tenges.
Revenue from data transfer services increased by 18.6 percent and amounted to 39.28 billion tenges.
Revenue from other services decreased by 23.6 percent - up to 12.65 billion tenges.
Company's total subscriber base decreased up to 10.36 million users in the last year (11.19 million users at the end of 2014).
Kcell was established in 1998 and since February 1999 began rendering services of cellular communication under the trade mark Kcell.
Kcell is affiliated with TeliaSonera, the largest Scandinavian telecommunications holding.
