ASTANA, Kazakhstan, October 31. KazMunayGas (KMG) reported a 14.5 percent increase in the volume of oil transported through the Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC) system for its share, reaching 11.517 million tons from January through September 2025, Trend reports, citing the company.
The expansion represented a pivotal catalyst for the aggregate
enhancement in KMG’s pipeline conveyance, predominantly bolstered
by augmented Tengiz crude throughput subsequent to the execution of
the Future Growth Initiative at the Tengiz asset.
During the reporting period, a total throughput of 55.504 million
metric tons of crude oil was transacted via the CPC
infrastructure.
In the interim, KMG's hydrocarbon throughput through the CPC
pipeline exhibited a year-on-year escalation of 19.2 percent during
the initial three quarters of 2025, culminating in a total of
15.638 billion ton-kilometers.
The aggregate throughput of hydrocarbon conveyance via pipeline and
maritime channels by KMG experienced a contraction of 1.1 percent,
culminating in a total of 62.503 million tons for the reporting
interval.
The Caspian Pipeline Consortium is an international pipeline system that transports oil over a distance of 1,510 kilometers from western Kazakhstan’s Tengiz, Karachaganak, and Kashagan fields to the marine terminal in Novorossiysk on Russia’s Black Sea coast. The share of KMG in CPC is 20.75 percent.
