DUSHANBE, Tajikistan, January 4. The official launch of a plant dedicated to repairing transformers has commenced in Tajikistan's Hisar district, Trend reports.

The factory will specialize in fixing electrical transformers and small power station generators, according to Hisar's governing body of state power.

The factory is scheduled to open by the end of the spring. The main hall already features lifting cranes with a capacity of 50 tons, a 35-kilowatt electrical connection, and plans to expand equipment installation and assembly utilizing machinery imported from Poland.

The facility will be built in accordance with the country's designation of 2022-2026 as "Years of Industrial Development."

In January 2022, President Rahmon named this period the "Years of Industrial Development," with ambitious intentions to raise industrial output by 2.5 times in five years. The target for 2026 is 95 billion somoni ($9.3 billion), up from 38.8 billion somoni ($3.7 billion) in 2021.

According to Rahmon, more than 1,200 new production workshops and enterprises have been established in Tajikistan in 2022 and 2023.
