ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, September 21. The Turkmenabat Cotton Spinning Factory, located in the Lebap region in the east of Turkmenistan, produced almost 4,458 tons of cotton yarn from January through August 2023, Trend reports.
According to the data, in value terms, the enterprise manufactured products worth over 88.21 million Turkmen manats ($25.17 million) during the specified period.
Furthermore, the Turkmenabat factory exported 1,065 tons of finished products in the first eight months of this year, which in monetary terms amounts to almost 23 million Turkmen manats ($6.56 million).
At the moment, more than 580 workers work at this enterprise, ensuring reliable production operations.
Turkmenistan plans to allocate more than $300 million for the implementation of over 30 projects in the textile industry by 2025.
Major investments will be directed not only to expanding existing capacities but also to creating more than 10 new production facilities based on current enterprises.
