Uzbekistan discloses fruit, vegetable export volume for 1H2024

TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, July 22. Uzbekistan exported 1 million tons of fruit and vegetables worth $607.3 million from January through June 2024, Trend reports.

The data from Uzbekistan's Statistics Agency shows that this figure has increased by 4.6 percent compared to the same period last year (955,200 tons in January–June 2023).

Russia accounted for the largest volume of horticultural product exports from Uzbekistan, with a total volume of 348,400 tons worth $250.1 million. Kazakhstan ranked second with 335,800 tons of exports worth $101.7 million, followed by Pakistan with 89,000 tons of horticultural products exported worth $92.7 million from January through June 2024.

The exports of horticultural products accounted for 4.7 percent of the total volume of Uzbekistan’s exports.

Meanwhile, the country exported 722,100 tons of fruit and vegetables worth $420.1 million from January through May 2024. This figure has increased by 10.4 percent compared to the same period last year (653,800 tons in January–May 2023).

Russia accounted for the largest volume of horticultural product exports from Uzbekistan, with a total volume of 214,900 tons worth $137.4 million. Pakistan ranked second with 86,900 tons of exports worth $82.8 million, followed by Kazakhstan with 231,700 tons of horticultural products exported worth $64.4 million from January through May 2024.
