TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, July 26. Uzbekistan exported 159,500 tons of cabbage for a total of $41.6 million from January through June 2024, Trend reports.
The data from Uzbekistan’s Statistics Agency shows that the recorded volume has increased by 112.1 percent compared to the same period last year (75,200 tons in January–June 2023).
At the same time, the volume of cabbage exports from Uzbekistan decreased to 700 tons in June 2024, compared to 10,800 tons in May 2024.
Meanwhile, Uzbekistan exported 1 million tons of fruit and vegetables worth $607.3 million from January through June 2024. This figure has increased by 4.6 percent compared to the same period last year (955,200 tons in January–June 2023).
Russia accounted for the largest volume of horticultural product exports from Uzbekistan, with a total volume of 348,400 tons worth $250.1 million. Kazakhstan ranked second with 335,800 tons of exports worth $101.7 million, followed by Pakistan with 89,000 tons of horticultural products exported worth $92.7 million from January through June 2024.
