TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, October 7. Uzbekistan exported 64,800 tons of apricots worth $62.3 million from January through August 2024.
The data obtained by Trend from the country's statistics agency shows that the value of apricot exports increased by $21.6 million compared to the same period last year.
The largest volume of apricot exports in the period from January through August 2024 was made to Russia - 51,500 tons, Kazakhstan - 8,100 tons, Kyrgyzstan - 2,700 tons, Azerbaijan - 1,500 tons, and Belarus - 721 tons.
Uzbekistan exported 1.3 million tons of fruits and vegetables worth $922.8 million from January through August 2024. This figure increased by 8.3 percent compared to the same period last year (1.2 million tons in January-August 2023).
Exports of fruit and vegetable products accounted for 5.3 percent of Uzbekistan's total exports.
