TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, December 11. The number of tourists from Uzbekistan who visited Azerbaijan in November 2024 amounted to 3,402 people.
Data obtained by Trend from the State Tourism Agency of Azerbaijan shows that this figure decreased by 11.8 percent compared to November last year, when 3,806 tourists from Uzbekistan visited the country.
Meanwhile, a total of 40,938 tourists from Uzbekistan visited Azerbaijan from January through November 2024, which is 16 percent more than last year (35,222 tourists in January-November 2023).
Furthermore, Uzbekistan occupied the thirteenth place among 15 countries whose citizens visited Azerbaijan from January through November this year.
The data from the agency indicates that among Central Asian countries, Azerbaijan attracted the most tourists from Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan.
To note, the State Tourism Agency of Azerbaijan announced that in 2023 the number of Uzbek tourists to Azerbaijan reached 39,663, which is 51 percent more than in 2022.
